I am interesting and friendly, humorous and good natured, affectionate and genuine. I am also straight forward, sarcastic and opinionated. Still interested? Great! I'm not into timid guys, so you just got some bonus points. A little bit of the basics - I am moderately educated and fairly well-spoken, but I am not a braniac who likes to make other people feel stupid. I am currently attending college part time in pursuit of a nursing degree. I have a job - full time in fact - in the Medical Field and I love what I do. These simple facts may give you the impression that I am a very busy person. This is true, but I have plenty of time to meet new people. I may not be able to be spontaneous that often, however, I actually have more respect for a man who values my time enough to plan ahead.Little bits about me - I can change my own lightbulbs, tires and oil. I can carry heavy stuff, squish bugs and those items "with some assembly required" do not puzzle me. I am independant, but not beyond asking for help if my man feels the need to express his masculinity. I am not looking for someone to shelter and protect me. I am looking for someone who will challenge and excite me. And maybe kill some spiders. I like "me" time. I enjoy reading and taking selfishly long bubble baths. There are only two shows on TV that I watch religiously, unless it is Red Sox baseball and then all bets are off. I'm not real big on lengthy phone calls unless time passes so quickly for the both of us that we fail to notice. I'm looking for a man who also values "me" time, and does not suddenly forget that he has outside interests and friendships just because he is dating someone. I also like to workout. I am no Jane Fonda, but I do think exercise is vital and love the feeling of strength I get from working out. I am a work in progress, so do not expect rippling muscles or washboard abs, although I do like to flex in the right company. I usually work out at home but I also enjoy hiking, softball and disorganized touch-football games with friends. Someday I hope to start a running program.Be warned - I am behaviorally spontaneous. I like to do things to make people laugh. I do not shout expletives or dance suggestively in inappropriate settings. I am more likely to do something silly that only you and I witness, just to see you smile. If you do something awkward or stupid in my presence, I will not stifle my giggles to be polite and sensitive. I will laugh out loud and tease you, and perhaps even remind you of it several times in the future. Not because I am trying to be hurtful... it is because I am comfortable with my own awkwardness and would let you laugh at me, too.I like to go out and do stuff! Due to the demands of my life, I am home most evenings taking care of my chosen responsibilities. When I go out, I like to go to places where there are lots of people having a great time. I have a soft spot for The Salty Dog. I also love to play pool, eat meals that I don't have to prepare or clean up after, and attend sporting events or live concerts. I am not opposed to going to a club and dancing until my legs fall off, but I did a lot of that when I was younger and have kind of grown out of it. I'd much rather go to a cool place with lots of action and enjoy a night with great company & friends. What am I looking for? Here are the basics. There is not one person out there who can say honestly that looks do not matter. They do. I am not superficial, and I am far from perfect. There must be a physical connection, but without an intellectual connection you have nothing. I am looking to find someone who is exactly who they say they are. If you have to make up stories in order to gain self-confidence and the approval of others, do not contact me. If you have difficulty telling the truth, no matter what the consequences, I am not interested. Be responsible! Be employed, self-sufficient, and not living at home with the 'rents. Have goals and dreams... and be motivated in achieving them. Be respectful and generally tolerant of others. Racists and bigots need not apply. Have opinions, interests and morals and take pride in them. Please know what the following terms mean: daily shower, deoderant, cologne, haircut, toothbrush and Alcohol-In-Moderation.
