Another good reading ... stolen from a friend: ...Hey all you out there. Now that you've let the government tell you whether you can earn a living or not, or if you can even go out of your house, we need to really think about how far we are willing to go in this grand experiment of relinquishing our rights. There are several things that will probably be coming down the road and we need to think about them now. How about mandatory testing, will you submit to it? Now the government will have a DNA record of everyone. How about mandatory vaccinations? Will you turn over your body to an invasive government procedure that was rushed and no doubt approved by the always reliable FDA. How about martial law, are we going to allow the United States to become a police state? What about mass tracking to see where you've been and if you've come in contact with an infected person? Will we be satisfied with a monthly check after the destruction of our economy? Do doubt we'll get a new push for state run heath care. We need to think about this and decide now, before this comes to us. And for those of us who still value individual rights and liberty, we need to make plans to resist. We need to realize that all these edicts require implementation by government employees who took an oath to the constitution guaranteeing our God given rights, an oath that did not come with the exception of a virus or emergency. If you are government employee, a police officer, a member of the armed forces, you need to decide what that oath means and how far you are willing to go when ordered to ignore the natural and constitutional rights of your fellow citizens. And we the people need to decide how far we are willing to go to keep those rights. So far we have done NOTHING, showing more concern over the shortage of toilet paper than the violation of our rights. We have shown ourselves willing to let the government destroy our livelihood, our savings, our future, more than willing to trade our meager freedoms to allow the government to secure us in its suffocating embrace. How will this generation answer the question in our national anthem. Are we the land of the free and the home of the brave? Right now, it doesn't look that way.
