Charles Cook, singer, song writer, multi instrumentalist, artist, and producer from Bucks County Pennsylvania residing in Charleston, SC. My music is a collection of conceptual songwriting and eclectic arrangements with multi cultural influences in a rock and blues medium. I’ve been inspired by Miles Davis, J.J. Cale, Tom Waites, Dr. John, Led Zeppelin, Mark Knoffler, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, etc. There are splashes of Spain, Ireland, Italy, Cuba, and other cultures around the globe mixed into an Americana blend of music.

I've performed, recorded, and toured throughout the U.S. and Europe at festivals, pubs, bars, cafes', and studios with world class musicians. I am accomplishing this diverse musical experience as an independent artist with my guitar, voice, songs, and lots of love.

I began my lifelong relationship with music while in elementary school hitting beats with a coffee can and a pair of sticks. After that I got my first drum pad and over time with practice and dedication I ultimately became a very skilled and diverse drummer. I got my first guitar in high school and that is when my songwriting began. My original music soon became my babies and I've been invested in my original music for most of my life.

I'm currently launching my new record; a 10 song compilation of original tunes that blend together into a story. This album is titled Charles Cook's FRUITS OF THE LAUREL. I wrote, arranged, and produced this album in the 'old school' method. That is to say when it was common practice for artists and bands to produce an album of songs that fit into a conceptual and somehow sequential whole. A grouping of individual songs that tell a story as a whole; as opposed to recording and releasing singles while hoping for a hit.

With this new record I'm shooting for greater artistic opportunities through a collaboration of supporters that may include record companies, publishers, investors, producers, general public, and most of all local community. I'm looking forward to creating conceptual videos, as well as local, regional, national and international performance tours. I look forward to recording and releasing more albums of original songs and have two complete albums of material that are ready for production. My mind is loaded with creative thoughts of music, art, film, dance and performance production!
