Ok, let's be honest....I'm not the best looking guy around, but hopefully not the worst!

Hi to those who has ventured this far !
I am a gentle, honest, loving, faithful, caring intelligent man with old-fashioned values and morals. The time is now right for me to meet my 'significant other' who will be my best friend, lover, companion, and rock - someone with whom to share all the good things that life has to offer, and to support each other when life presents some challenges.
I enjoy travel and experiencing new cultures (not really into beach holidays, love exploring too much!), Ancient history/mythology, National Trust, precious time spent with family/friends ,real ale, good conversation (silly or serious), great food (all sorts) , Earl Grey, rock music, 'live' concerts (best was Pink Floyd, just stunning), my 3 lovely moggies, Dr Who, all good sci-fi, political intrigue, conspiracy theories. Will read anything that takes my fancy really- trying to get my head around Quantum Theory at the moment! Plymouth Argyle-have supported them for 40 years now, through thick and thin....and, boy, is it thin at the moment !
I am not at all materialistic, and have no interest in designer names just for the sake of it. I used to have 2 lovely thoroughbred horses and, although I have never ridden, looking after them was an absolute pleasure. I miss them so.
I live in rural Devon, not at the end of the world..... there are such things as planes, trains & automobiles and I'm open to a new adventure, wherever that may take me. Location is not an issue to me as I am not geographically tied.
Be brave, it'll be worth it !!
