"ZIPF'S LAW" FOR NONCODING DNA (IS GOD TRYING TO HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH US?)

Graham Hancock's book "SuperNatural" touches on this fascinatng finding. "Zipf's Law" is a well established relationship of words in any language discovered by George Zipf' in 1939. The law states that if take a book in any language and ploted word frequency, let's say the number one ranked word appears 10,000 times, then the tenth most common word will appear 1000 times. This fact will plot a distinctive line on a graph that will hold true for all languages. There is a more remarkable discovery that has turned up in mid 1990's at a study conducted at Harvard Medical School. In this study they examined 37 DNA sequences containing 50,000 base pairs each, two shorter sequences, and one with 2.2 million base pairs. They evaluated much of the coded and noncoded DNA from all samples. The coded DNA that accounts for 3 percent of all DNA and is responsible for all known functions in our bodies read like jibberish when "zipf's law" was applied. This is to be expected as though the base pairs read like words from a language they are disorganized and have no intelligible overall message. Here's where it gets real interesting. The noncoding or as it's called junk DNA which accounts for 97 percent of our total DNA obeyed "Zipf's Law" perfectly in all analysis. This means that the base pairs read like an organized language in our noncoding DNA! The DNA molecule is truly an amazing piece of work. No computers even begin to match what it can do. If you were to uncoil a single DNA molecule it would stretch 120 billion miles. 12 times the length of the entire solar system. That line of information is tightly coiled up inside each of the 1 trillion cells in our body. Digital compression of information in a modern computer doesn't even come close. Some radical thinkers have suggested that DNA is a very ancient recording system, far older than 14.7 billion year age of our universe. In all that endless stretch of double helix, maybe God is trying to have a conversation with us..... do you think?!
