One year ago today, I was in the sky somewhere between Newfoundland and Edmonton, on the beginning of a very uncertain journey. I had almost forgotten the date, except my mother reminded me yesterday.
Since my three-month misadventure up North, I've found a solid footing here in Lloydminster and Vermilion.
There's a lot of negative things I can say about the Wal*Mart Corporation, and have plans to do so in future editorials. Since I started working there however, I have met some good people and became stronger both physically and emotionally. Speech therapy is boosting my self-confidence, which was sadly lacking before.
I'm feeling optimistic about life and the new challenges ahead.
I have the weekend off! Time for some beer!
