Ooohhh, about me... the hard one! Let's see...
I am a single Mam of a wonderful 16 yr old boy (young man really).
I was born in South Africa, but grew up in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). The family moved back to South Africa in my early teens. We lived in Johannesburg after we moved back.
In 1999 I moved to Ireland. I live in Waterford City in county Waterford, Rep of Ireland. I have lived in Waterford for about 7 years, before that I lived in Dublin for nearly 8 months. I fell in love with Ireland and consider it my home now.
I work with intelectually disabled and psychiatric adults. I mostly enjoy my job, although at times it can be challenging and mentally exhausting. But it can also be a lot of fun and rewarding as well. I would rather be doing what I do now than work in an office like I used to before I came to Ireland.
I guess I tend to be a little off centre and even off the wall at times! I just don't see the point in being "normal" and conventional! I am a free spirit and love ebing that way. I recently got 2 facial peircings and absolutely love them! I think I am probably the black sheep of the family, and although they love me, they all think I am a little wacky and weird!
My son and I are very close and have a very good and open relationship. We can mostly talk about anyting and are very good firends. I know our relationship is prescious and special and I apprecaite that and am grateful for it every day.
I don't have loads and loads of firends, but the few i do have are true and guenuine, and have got me through some very tough times. I love them all dearly and am so grateful to have them in my life.
