Relationships, r they really worth it? This was asked of me today, and this blog is where my answer wound up.
GF's I know suffer through a lot of bs in their love or lust lives. And those who are my good GF's know I do too. Why do men think they are worthy of everything and we think we are worthy of nothing. Subjecting ourselves to torment both real and imagined for the sake of a relationship with another human being. Honestly, when you're not home do you think your cat is laying in someone elses lap or that the dog is chewing on the neighbors slippers??
We put ourselves through way too much drama. The guys or signifigant others in our lives never having a clue about it all. We sit around making ourselves miserable or letting them make us miserable for what? We as women, just for surviving puberty, or the 'joys' of motherhood, deserve more. Men have no clue what we go through. And yes they have for many years brought home the bacon, but there is only one butcher and has always been just one butcher in my house makin bacon. LOL.
Women are capable of reading each other, we know if one another are hurting with out asking, we know when to hug, when to cry with you, and when to just let you explode. We are capable, believe it or not, of giving each other that needed word of support or encouragement.
Most people see me as hard, strong, independant, and yes bitchy, without ever knowing the softer side of me. People and this includes men too, although I sometimes question this inclusion, don't seem to understand or grasp that it is sometimes a softer hand that holds the strongest. I am strong only because I know when and how to be weak. I know inside what I am worthy of, but sometimes needs and wants make you accept or expect less.
Gf's don't settle for second and don't be afraid of being strong. Surprise the hell out of him and tell him what you want.
Everything in life is a lesson, a learning experience, even if it's a bad one. Life in general tends to sux, but those few good moments really make up for all the bad. Love hurts like hell wether it be your child, your family or your man, they will at sometime or another hurt you. Wether intentional or not, BUT, there is always another sunrise and another reason to smile.
Girls if you read this you are worthy of the world. Let your GFs know you're there for them. Guys if you read this call your girl, bring her a gas station rose, email or msg her and let her know you think she's worthy.
