For years I have spent time jotting down idea's for my first book. Finally I have got down the first couple of chapters, forgranted the first chapter needs more clarification and extended. But below I have pasted what I have completed so far. I would love "helpful" critisism.
So here goes nothing..................
To find our beginning you need to look into our past.
Time is infinite, never stops and never starts. A hundred years from now when all the earths’ resources are used up and the earth’s core starts to cool we will look into why we were put on the earth and where we actually came from. Trying to find the answers to the questions of life before the planet as we now know just disappears loosing its protective layers of the atmosphere and becoming a dried up rock.
John Jackson sat staring out of the classroom window; the physics class seemed particularly boring today, talking about matter and anti-matter, why will I ever need to know anything about this. In the distance out of the windows he could see a group of student’s sun bathing and laughing, this made him feel even worse about today’s packed itinerary.
Jack was just coming up to his eighteenth birthday and wishing he was able to land an apprenticeship like most of the others who he was in school with, all driving around in their extravagant cars showing off, he had no choice but to go back to school and study, hoping that during this time something might turn up and release him from this boring life he was living.
“Mr Jackson as I know you are listening so intently could you tell me how we measure the atomic mass of the element of copper?” Shouted Boris the latest of the bully boy teachers that the school had just took on. John looked up at Boris and replied “that is easy Sir; you can just look up the number on the elementary table and for copper that will be 64.” Boris turned around and shot a glance at John and told him, “if you are so clever sonny tell me how we come to arrive at the number on the elementary table?” John sat there thinking for a while and turned around and said “what you have to do is count the number of electrons that circle the proton Sir.”
Boris looked at him and turned away to face the black board again, Mr Jackson it seems that you were listening, but in future would you mind keeping your face looking this way and showing some sort of interest!
John had the uncanny ability to remember anything that he had ever been shown or read, photographic memory the psychologists had called it, still it made studying lots easier than it did for most people, which in turn made school even more boring, there were no real challenges here for him anymore, so he turned his gaze back to the window.
Finally school was over, john looked over to the car park to see that Jamo, one of Johns friends who was lucky enough to have an old TVR convertible, “fancy going for a ride johnny boy, I promise I won’t take it too fast this time” John stared up at the sky and replied “look Jamo I am sure I have just seen a pig fly past” Jamo just looked and laughed.
I can’t believe we are doing a hundred, John looked at Jamo, good job you are a careful driver isn't it but do we really have to go down these lanes so fast, in the side window all you could see was the flash of different shades of green and the roaring of the engine filled the inside of the car, Jamo turned to john and said good job I know these roads like, before he had even had chance to finish his sentence a tractor came around the oncoming corner, and hit them head on.
At the coroner’s inquest the verdict was death by misadventure, to bodies were recovered from the vehicles on May 10th 2010, that of John F Travel who was in the tractor had died when the impact of the car caused the fuel tank to explode causing John F Travel to be stuck in the Tractors Cab and burn alive, before help arrived.
The second person Mr Jameson Wilson, parts of his body were found lying around the area of impact, the conclusion being at such an impact speed of over one hundred miles per hour the fibre glass body disintegrated on impacting the tractor therefore leaving the role cage in the car to take the impact, as the drivers body hit the role cage it acted like a a guillotine removing the parts of the body from the torso. The driver died within seconds of impact.
The coroner then concluded that the third body of Mr John Jackson was never recovered at the scene, meaning that it could have been disintegrated or burnt on the impact of the two vehicles, but without the full remains it will remain missing for the next 12 months and then, if still not found will be changed to dead on the scene and a full death certificate will be wrote out and issued.
Annette looked out across the lake as she had done so many times before, the moon light shimmered on the velvety water making it look almost alive. Ripples came to shore off the fish, jumping for the mosquitoes trying to catch a tasty morsel before they settled on the bottom for the night. In the distance the smell of wild onions was carried in a gentle breeze that blew across her face it was so fresh and calming. With midnight drawing closer the sky was clear with hundreds of spots of white in different patterns forming constellations that only man could ever dream of visiting.
Annette had been visiting the lodge which sat upon the lake for years, it had been hers and Richards favorite place in the world, but now it seemed so empty without him, she hoped it would help revive the memories of her lost love and bring at least a little peace to her soul, which had a yearning so great that she knew it would not ever be fulfilled.
When Richard had left for Afghanistan, she had felt it would be the last time she would see him, but then the car pulled up and Captain Smith had knocked on her door with a letter, stating he had been missing in action whilst on a recon mission, the rest of his section where re orted dead in action, but Richards body had never been found.
As she held the letter holding on to whatever hope that remained in her empty soul, that one day she would be reunited with her one true love, the person she was supposed to be with until they laid old in bed and passed peacefully away in each other’s arms.
Annette turned her focus back to the lake and along the shoreline she saw someone coming out the lake, a man naked, as she looked closer and saw his features. It cant be she said to herself as he got closer, he was running now calling out to her, she turned around her heart beating hard with anticipation and started to run to him. When she got closer she realized it was Richard but how and why and what is he doing here, so many questions were in spinning around in her head, but suddenly none of it mattered to her anymore as long as she was able to have one last hold and never let go.
All she ever wanted was Richard since they first laid there eyes on each other like destiny had chosen there path to be together, true souls mates. Now after so long he had found her through the power of there love. As they got closer she could see the tautness of his body which shone in the moonlight, and his smile so white and bright, she could feel her legs starting to wobble, her nerves going.
When Richard finally reached her she felt his strong arms reach around her and felt so much relief, she started to cry with joy. How did you find me she asked him, as she looked into his eyes there was horror as she found they were not eyes at all but two white orbs where his eyes used to be. She started to pull away and couldn't his grip was getting tighter with every time she pulled, then she started to cry for help. As she cried a huge black mass that resembled an eel spew out of his mouth and into hers, she could feel herself starting to choke and gasp, this is when the dream ended and she woke up, even in those couple of moments of sleep she had her Richard back.
But now alone..........
