Many people are wondering about the motives behind the Palestinian statehood proposal that is scheduled to be examined at the United Nations Security Council in the near future. But Tehran regards the part about the establishment of an independent Palestinian state as a remarkable achievement for the Palestinian people and as the final word in the longstanding Arab-Israeli conflict.
