Who's Who
The ISAF mission has many levels.
NATO’s role
The Alliance will be responsible for the planning and command of the peacekeeping force. This will include providing a force commander and headquarters.
Allied Joint Force Command Headquarters Brunssum responsiblity
The operation will be conducted under the overall command of the Allied Command Operations and will be run by the Joint Force Commander, Gen. Egon Ramms (German Army) , at NATO's Allied Joint Force Command Headquarters Brunssum (JFC HQ Brunssum).
Commanders appointed
The Supreme Allied Commander Europe, Gen. John Craddock, has appointed Gen. Dan K.McNeill (US Army) as the Commander of the ISAF mission, Maj. Gen. G Robison (UK Royal Marine) as the Deputy Commander of Stability, Maj. Gen. Meulman (Royal Netherlands Air Force) as the Deputy Commander of Air, Maj Gen S R Layfield (US Army) as the Deputy Commander of Security, and Maj. Gen. Kasdorf (GE Army) as the Chief of staff.
