My First Blog Please be Patient..

Just recently finished up a divorce of 42 years..some good some not so good..Dont want to point fingers about the demise but i have a hard time understanding a few things..First off i never strayed from home the oppertunity was there but i stayed commited ..i always worked every chance i could ..i payed the bills never went out drinkin with my friends everthing was done for the family's well being..i was raised family comes first..anyway i wanted to make sure my family had food, housing,clothes and all the basics of life....my delema is i worked for all the years for my family to insure they were taken care and a retirement was  in place  so the wife and i could enjoy the later years of our lifes.. in the end i was told i was wrong....Health issues popped up for myself i was told by the wife she was not willing to sit around and watch me get worse..

Why is it people take there marrage vows so lightly anymore does it really not mean anything?

Why was it i stayed commited to the marrige and is was a big charade for her?

I dont have a book on how a person is suppose to live i always believed i was headed in the right direction for the best outcome for my family..

so after all that i felt really cheated out 42 yrs of bustin my humps 2-3 jobs everyday..for the good of her and the family..

In light of all this i do feel lucky to have 2 adult children and have been blessed with 8 grandchildren so all in all at this point i'm thinking i actually got the best end of the deal.

Far as the x we still communicate on a limited basis.. she is enjoying the dating game .
