Friends may come and they may go,
And after they're gone what is to show?
We are left with the memory of our past,
For better or worse these will last.
When we fall in love what do we gain?
Times of great joy or suffering pain.
As we grow old how do we live life?
Do we look to have a husband or wife?
Kids have grown old and fled the nest.
Raise them right we try our best.
Look back at how you have lived and how you tried.
When the time comes will you be happy you died
Knowing you gave all you could give.
Surrendering to the longing to love and to live.
Did you life the life you wanted?
Or are your dreams tortured and haunted?
Was your life lived to the dream?
Or was it broing and stagnant or so it may seem.
Take pride in yourself and all that you do.
An no matter what else make sure you love you.
