Say someone did something really bad to you and hurt you deeply, past being able to to repair the friendship / relationship and you just had to let go of them.
If a magical fairy came to you and said, I am going to help you with this situations if you would like. You have 2 choices that are as follows.
A) I will heal the damage they have done to you. You will feel no pain about it no more.
or
B) I will get your revenge for you and the person will be damaged just like you and will hurt as deep as you as well.
Which would you choose?
