I've been Bass guitarist for this band for about a year now. We've played gigs every weekend, and got decent pay. We had to fire one of our lead guitarists because he started turning every gig into his own show, and used us for his backup band. Now, the other remaining guitarist is pissed off because the head of the band is moving me up to lead, and reforming the band. He won't be fired, he was asked to stay. Now, he refuses to work with me or even assoiciate with me away from the band. He was buddies with the fired guitarist, and we think he's doing this because of the firing. The band wants this guitarist to stay, because he's damn good.
If I leave this band, chances for finding another band in this area, that is good enough to gig, is almost none.
Should I stay in the band, and do my own thing and bitch about it and hope he quits or gets fired?....or should I say the hell with it, and quit? |
