A meaning less phrase?
A description for those that we hold near and dear?
Or is every random stanger a friend?
To me...a true friend is someone who is somehow there when you need to smile...but just cant get your lips to work...
A friend see's the good in you...even when you no longer feel so good.
A friend slaps you across the face when you really are acting like an ass....
A friend lets you make that one big mistake and is there to comfort you when you realize it.
I am so bless...this week...my true friends not only showed themselves to me....but the outpouring of support from them...even as few even know why i was upset or what was happening...and yet...the words...the love...the friendship was there...and so was the space i needed to come to terms with myself...thru all my self pity and self hatred....there they were....waiting with open arms....and lord know i dont know what i did to deserve them...but to each and everyone one of you...
