weathered tree.
Winter pulls her veil over mine face
she lets me lay in beautiful slumber ,
Energising my soul, helping me grow in my own grace.
A strength lays within me,yet all you see
are the knarley bones of my body,
Ive shed my beauty once more .
No more in sight are my colourful hues
Just grey and brown boney features,
Yet look at me thro unclosed eyes
and truely see who i am.
I am wise and knowing to our mother
called nature,i feel the power of her grace and anger,
her emotions she shows us as weather.
Then winter is gone and new birth created
the fruit of my bud in full view of all,
then bloom shall i and present you my colours
no longer grey or brown.
I'l keep you safe in strong arms
that i bare, shelter you when no one is there..
come sit with me and speak of old ages,
when once we shared that common goal .
When wise folk and sages worshipped me
i am old beyond my years, but take your time to
ponder ... remember the childhood years..
when you played with me.
Embrace me once more with your free
loveing arms,let go your innocent
to frolic among these beautiful wonders,
given from our most precious divine.
