Seven ways to sin so deadly, and our loving leaders.... So, as you may know, there are seven deadly sins. And why are these sins so deadly? Dictionaries would like to call them as sins that lead to damnation. But perhaps damnation isn’t so bad. After all, recall who’s done it..... Lust, the act of intense desire, committed by the BELOVED Bill Clinton. This wonderful man won the Presidency in 1992 with a popular vote of 44,908,233 yet committed a deadly sin. Clinton publicly stated, "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky." Later he annouces the fact that he did, in fact, upon mutiple occasions. So are these deadly sins waived at the level of class one is at? Or how one may talk through an action?.... Envy, the act of wanting what others have. Let’s use the democratic party, beginning in 1812, not stopping through today, and beyond. So they’re party envies other nations, France for example, oh how green they are, yet can anyone build nuclear plants to become any more like them? No. Can we rid our super jets to make “green” speeches to other nations? Negative. Can the head of the movement himself even try to cut consumption? Sure, but still he consumes 20 times the amount of what the average home does (snopes.com/politics/business/gorehome.asp). And our to be President believes we can change the best country ever, one can hope envy isn’t as deadly as it appears..... Gluttony, the act of excessive eating and drinking. Let us look at the conservative President Taft, a man weighing over 300 pounds, needing a larger bathtub installed into the White house to fit him. While this fine man protected his people. He preferred economic action to Military action. His presidency was ruled by what prosperity would be sure to come, yet never went to his people. While many people starved in his city streets, he enjoyed many delicacies to indulge in. .... Greed is defined as excessive or rapacious desire, esp. for wealth or possessions. Ask most Americans what that means and they won’t know. But a prime example is good ol’ buddy Richard Nixon. Poor Mr. Nixon, insecure in his trade, upon thin ice is where he played, Sneak to sabotage what democrats have upon their plate, this my friend, was water gate. A president of good moral, of great idol, yet with a side of curiosity and a need to protect himself from eradication. What was his goal became his destruction, while he may have found the secrets of his success, his success came through the secrets that leaked through, and by success of course, I mean utter failure. .... What’s a sloth? Not the animal, but similar in nature. The act of laziness. 444 days our men were lost, taken from their nests, and nothing done. Upon the day Reagan came in to office, their freedom won. Social turmoil, and blood flowing in the streets, this is notorious of quite a few men, yet only he may lay claim to hostages being taken back from another man. Jimmy Carter. Between ....Egypt.... and ....Israel.... he attempted a peace treaty, just shows how peace isn’t much of a handshake, it’s only when one no longer exists. But back to sloth, unfortunately for Carter, the peanut farmer, he is now known as exactly that, a peanut farmer, and an author of various books..... And for wrath, wrath and anger, anger and wrath, an outrage and out put of vicious emotion, recall this as President Buchanan. Him being a federalist, him being a rebel at heart. Quite a large man he was, taking pride in his tiny feet (encarta.msn.com/). While he was president, he would not ban slavery, he would not take action against it, and when he did, the attempt was a failure. An indecisive man, he was unmarried, I’m sure it’s obvious why. Subject to scrutiny, wrath he suffered from his own people. .... Pride, said to be the worst sin of all. Let’s look at a man crowded with hate, but aren’t you safe? Let’s look at a man, sticking his ground, aren’t you breathing? It takes a mixture of cockiness and confidence to keep 300 million people from falling into panic. It takes a person of determination and experience to do such a thing. This Man is Our Current President, George Bush Jr. While many people may think the joke lies there, no, that’s not the joke. .... The joke lies in the fact that our future will repeat our past and that our past is our future..... The joke here, is that it’s not funny at all..... The joke lies in the fact that those who laugh at these times, know how to get out..... And those who laugh not, live not. ....
