Wal-Mart is a corporation that has ingeniously used conventional tactics masked in a friendly guise to climb their way to the number one rank among Fortune 500 companies. Not only through cheap labor practices from illegal immigrants but through eager youths looking to make a quick buck, and financially stressed elderlies that are only permitted a low-range income. Not to mention a refined subliminal shopping ploy and outsourcing method, common among big businesses today, that has contributed to their near-monopoly status in the retail industry.
My hat is off to Wal-Mart, though. I mean, through Wal-Mart's overwhelming locations across the nation they have driven most of their competitors in any given area out of business. Who could possibly compete with this retail giant?
Now, would you continue to shop at Wal-Mart knowing you're only contributing to the breakdown of our economy or are the low prices too appealing to turn down since the cost of living is constantly on the rise? |
