I am a 48 year old Paraplegic, paralized from the chest down (nipple level), both legs amputated. I have been disbaled since I was 20. My health has not been the best for a few years now, but why should I let that get in the way of making friends and looking for a special someone to share my 'everything' with?
I moved to Ohio in 2001 in hopes of finding a better life, in a way. But have discovered that being house-bound keeps one from being the social butterfly I once was. Since I can not get out to places to meet people and make friends, I think I will utilise this web site for that. I also own and manage a chat room for History Buffs (#SCA on Undernet - IRC).
What else? I have never married, although I was close just before my accident. I spent my early years struggling to be 'normal', going to school, trying to build a social life that was pleasing to me and my previous friends. Along the line I forgot to look close at the friends to see if any might be 'more then'. Repeatedly I have been told by my closest friends I am either too 'innocent' or niave to see what was being offered. An old friend from High School even told me once that there were many girls interested in me, but I was too shy or stupid to look back.
Anyway, for those that know me, I ramble on often. This is part of who I am, I hope we can be friends, one can never have too many of those.
