There is no shame in admitting that not everyone is an expert when it comes to choosing women's clothing. There are those women who can walk into any department store and find the absolute perfect outfit for their body type and on trend for that year. On the other end of the spectrum there are women who require a bit of help, and this is what we are here for!

1. Flare bottoms are out for this year but skinny jeans, leggings and cargo pants are definitely in. Trade in your old ripped jeans for a dark worn wash. The darker the better for this upcoming fashion year and worn is preferred to the holes we have been seeing in the recent past.
2. Comfort in women's clothing seems to have trumped glamour as of late. What this means is the tight knit tops are out for the time being and breezy sheers, loose knit sweaters and even the original cotton t-shirts. Cottons and the softest of materials is a great base to any casual wear ensemble.
3. It's time to get rid of your bulky winter gear and replace it with the warmth and style of a peacoat. There are dozens of different styled peacoats on the market today and each one can keep you warm and looking great for the new winter season.
4. It is important to acknowledge and be aware of your body type. Just because something is all the rage this season doesn't mean it will flatter every body type. Trial and error is the answer to this and learning what accentuates your good characteristics as well as the bad.
5. Are you into layering yet? Get rid of your huge bulky sweaters and layer your tank tops, henleys and v-necks to get started.
6. Deep and bold colors are no longer the first choice of retailers today but instead soft neutrals have taken over. The great thing about neutral colors is that they can be matched with glamour or casual styles.
7. The new attitude of women's fashion is less means more. If it takes a lot of work to put your outfit together, get rid of it! Women's casual wear needs to not only suit your personality but be simple yet elegant.
8. In addition to the new layering rule, to add a subtle yet superb change to your style add a leather jacket for the top layer. Replace your favourite sweat shirt with an eye-catching leather jacket and your style completely changes.
9. Black and white is in! The great thing about black and white is that it can be both casual wear and evening wear when paired with the right accessories.
10. Do you still head out to the malls for hours at a time to shop? This is a thing of the past! The internet is a wonderful thing and can save you a lot of time shopping and provide you the same results.
