it was your beggining
with your first breath of air...
your eyes open,
sheltered,
not even slightly aware...
brought into a world
consumed by darkness
and despair...
not knowing yet,
of the people
who never seem to care...
dreadfully knowing all along
that this day would soon come...
knowing your trials
and tribulations
were so far from done...
the older you had gotten
the harder i know it had seemed...
when aspirations ran thin
and you had lost sight
of your dreams...
but now the harder you fall
the quicker you are to
rise to your feet...
even when the challenges you face
seem almost a definate defeat...
don't give up on the struggle
it's for your life you fight...
so use all of your heart
and all of your might...
to my daughters as the grow!!!...
