To Be A DJ
Some take for granted and lose sight of what it is to be a DJ.
Every position has its reward. Just because its not in the form of green paper
does not mean its not worth it.
Being a DJ takes action, charisma, excitement, dedication, commitment, and to put it simply,
being a DJ takes guts. Its not something easily acquired you gotta have the fire. You have to have the passion
and desire. You have to have an inner fire that you release out onto the mic everytime you step on air.
A DJ creates a positive environment. Music is the source of people's release. People can come from a strange and cruel world
and sit down and throw on the headphones and totally forget their worries or fears or confusions. They are released once the music
starts and create a sense of their own world. The DJ is in control of that. People consider Fantasia their home. Why? The DJ
who controls the lounge releases them and brings them warmth out of the darkness and out of a cold cruel world. The DJ brings forth
an entirely new atmosphere. Whether its dancing, whether its angry cold and aggressive music. Whether its soft and light music.
NO! To be a DJ has even more rewards than money can buy. As a DJ you bring the warmth and the light to people's hardened ice cold hearts
and bring them into an environment they can call home. To me that is much more than money or anything else can buy. To be a DJ you have to grab
control of their heart. Welcome them. Make them feel as if they have been far too long away from home. Make them feel they need to come back to this
warm welcoming feeling. You want the people to come? You have to earn it. To earn it you simply show that you mean it. That you want people to come and
listen to your words and listen to your songs and listen to you speak not for your own benefit, but because you believe they need to hear it. This is what they need
This is what the people need. DJs bring on the revolutions. DJs bring an entirely new world.
And this folks...is why people call Fantasia home...
Do you have that desire, commitment, fire, gung ho, passionate DJ in you? If not then you are no DJ at all. If you do feel it. Then you are one of the few.

I'm a Legendary DJ...and forevermore I will rule the hearts of those who listen to my words. That is why I do what I do. That is why I feel what I feel. That is why I say either put out, or get the fuck out.
