This girl cannot be easily forgoten, beauty is taken for granted, love is not appreciated like it should be. But unlike others I appreciate everything that comes to me, she was special, I know why it didnt work out...she was way to damn good for me, I know that! My love, however, for her shall remain in shadows. I love her, now, tomorrow, and always. Someone once told me that if you let something go, and wait, and if it comes back it means so much more(I know its a song but she was just trying to help me). And I believe that, I love this girl, I have my reasons...I might have moved to fast now, but we'll get better in the future, I know it I have a feeling.
Thursday and Friday I was in Montgomery going through MEPS (Military Entrancing Processing Station). I was re-enlisting into the Marine Corps, and guess what they let me back in. When I took my ASVAB in VA I was told I got a 51, came down here and found out I actually got a 57.
I qualified for many awsome and difficult jobs in the Marines, listen to them. The fields I qualified for are:

These not all of them, my recruiter said he left out all the ones that have to do with combat, he thinks I can do something better than combat infantry.
I live in Tuscaloosa! We own seven horses, we show them every year. This year was my little brothers first year at state, he won 10th place in the costume class.
I love to play sports, mostly football, but I wasnt eligable to play for county high, they said I was to dangerous or something. But what a compliment, I play many positions. I love Football!
Im a great guy to hang out with, Im very nice and outgoing. I can get along with anyone, as long as they can treat me with respect and kindness. I dont hate anyone either, I just might not like them.
When it comes to women, I only love one woman! Im not going to put her name here, out of respect to her! he knows I love her very musch and I know that she loves me! People dont just give love away, its earned, only by a special person in their life!
My life was rough up til now, living with my mom and then with my sister. During that time I got introduced to drugs, drinking and smoking. Well, not anymore I was saved on June 13, 2006 now my life has changed forever!

4/25/07- Recieved my scholarship from the Marines...the Montgomery GI Bill of $65k, to the college of my choice, of course I choose UA. Roll Tide Roll.
5/22/07- I graduated from Tuscaloosa County High! Graduate of 2007! The night of was wonderful now the day after kinda sucks feels like I did yesterday before I graduated. I thought the feeling was supposed to great...guess knowing that your life has started a new chapter...meaning working and shit! Well Im graduated thats all that matters!

We had an opportunity to speak with Tim Melton, who works maintenance at the VAMC. His department along with the Grounds Keeping crew is responsible for keeping this facility in tip-top shape and a pride to all Veterans who visit it. It is interesting to note that the VAMC has an Avenue of Flags from the entrance through the main drive to the exit which they fly the American Flags on a daily basis. Tim served in the US Marine Corps as a Combat Infantryman and subsequently moved to Electronic Counter-Measures Technician. During his brief Marine Corps career, he served in Beirut, off the coastline of Libya aboard the U.S.S. America as part of the Marine Detachment and finally a tour in Kuwait. His family is no stranger to military service: his father is a WWII and Korea Veteran (Willis Melton), his brother Ronnie, CWO-3, US Navy Retired, another brother served in the Air Force, and his grandfather, Lawrence, served in the U.S. Army, WWI. This proud military family is going to carry on the tradition because Tim told us that his eldest son graduated from High School last night and is already scheduled to report to Marine Corps Boot Camp at Parris Island, SC, on August 27th. I was so excited to hear this news as a Marine myself, that I forgot to even ask Tim’s son’s name. So from this point forward, I will call him a Future U.S. Marine and a Future Defender of Our Freedoms. We wish Tim’s son the best life has to offer, and I can speak first-hand that when he puts on the Eagle, Globe and Anchor, it will be a life-changing event for him as he joins the most elite fighting force the world has ever known.
