Today is Bob Marley's Birthday!! Blessings IN the name of the Most High! Jah! Rastafari!! His spirit and wisdom are as alive today as they ever were!
He is a prophet and a leader for all the sufferahs of this world. His voice is that of love, revolution, compassion and might! Most people know him for songs such as "One Love", "Buffalo Soldier" and "Could You Be Loved", but his vision is much more vast than the box that people try and put him in.
Even as his songs of beauty and hope blast from the speakers of sufferahs around the world to this day, he was also a spokesman for rebellion and revolution!! Whether intentional or not. To right the perpetual wrongs of all those that wield their perverted power in the fields of politics and organized religion, just to name a few. His strength can be found, still to this day in the most remote regions of the world. Anywhere there is injustice and suffering... there is the spirit of Robert Nesta Marley!
On a personal level, I tap that spirit of strength and power on a daily basis. To guide me through the ever-evolving disaster that is civilization as we know it to be today. I might owe my continual existence in the physical realm of this world to what this man represented!
Whether you are a fan of reggae music is of little importance to what I am speaking of here. It is about a philosophy and a way of life that is much more than just music. I am eternally thankful for the blessing of knowing who and what Bob Marley is about. Jah Live!!
