I have a five year old step son who just started Kindergarten this year. Last week we got a call from the principal saying that he was refusing to do what the teacher asked him to do...today I got a call from the principal saying that he was in her office again...this time for stealing snacks from the cafeteria without paying for them and breaking crayons in the classroom. She suggested that we decide on a severe punishment for the stealing to try to stop it before it got out of control. He is also going to see the school counselor...
My question is this: What is an apropriate punishment for a 5 year old that is serious enough to get him to stop stealing...we really are at a loss as to what we can do... |
