This has some good points but also some bad points about the past few days. I know, I didn't blog on the days I was off. :( This will make up for it.
Friday, we were getting ready to get my parents over here the next day to work on the new porch. I had my doubts about the way it was going to look, but then again I had to trust not only my husband, but the "masters" of carpentry. It's a good size porch which I can actually move around. So Saturday rolls around and we get started on the porch. Who would have guessed my mom and I would be making a trip (make that two) to two different hardware stores that morning. I was getting bored since it seemed like my mom and I were just watching them work, so I kept making bee lines toward the house to see if my phone had any text messages. So, later after the crew (my parents and their neighbor) had left for the day I sent pictures of the old/new porch to a friend of mine. He got a good laugh when he thought the old rickety one was the new one.
Sunday came and we did quite a bit more, and by 6 pm the crew was gone again this time we have just the shingles to add to the porch. Then we had to get ready for work for Monday and Tuesday, which we knew we were in a world of hurt since we both didn't get as much rest. Which leads us into the work days. Now, I am not sure what I did to my knee, and lord knows it hurt being on it for 12 hours, but Tuesday it was almost unbearable. Now, I had to look forward to my BEST friend always and forever's visit. Yep, Colonel_Deckard (aka Bill) did show up again this week. It was good to see him. But before he got here I had been waiting to see what was going on with my mother since it was highly apparent that I woke her up, and then I find out her leg has been cramping and that it also had been falling asleep. Right now, she is expected to have a blood clot removed and is currently waiting on a room, which could be who knows what time. But while waiting on news, Bill and I had some time to eat lunch (Yes, I can cook very well even if my own husband is too picky to eat it) before he checked emails and his CT page as well. Then when my husband and his friend came back from the store Bill and I decided we also needed to go to the store to get me something for my knee pain, which is ok for now. We were gone about an hour I think, and we had also seen my best friend Angela again. :) But between the good and bad news I had only cried once so far today. Be sure to know that I will keep everyone as posted on this as I can. If nothing else, I will let someone on CT know so they can post a bulletin for me. TTYL
