Okay, here it is, my suggestion to everyone that has seen all the Michael Moore movies and believes that our government is doing us wrong. I say we shut down the government for a month or two and see how much better things are. And I mean, the entire government, federal, state, local. Why not? Things could only get better, right? Eventually, all businesses will shut down because people will refuse to pay for services, and loot them constantly. Child rappers will walk out of prisons around the country and any one with a grudge against you will be able to bash your skull in with a stolen claw hammer from the local hardware store. Our pretty girl from my last blog will be raped 2 or 3 times daily and won’t have anyone to run to that will protect her. Michael Moore will be beaten 7, 8, 9 times a week but since no one feels they have to pay for their previous emergency room services, hospitals and doctors will close their doors so he will not be able to get the care he needs to survive. And even if that weren’t the case, he’d die any way since all the pie companies wouldn’t be in business anymore as mentioned above and I really don’t see him getting off of his fat ass to go out and try his hand at hunting. What is wrong with our society? The very people that protect our rights to speak out and, for many of us, our survival, are the same people that these “Michael Moore” minions are trying to kill. How long would you survive if you had to kill your own food? What happens when we’re all running around without clothes or clean water? Let’s face it folks, the government is not really a bad thing. Rules and regulations, as much as they sometimes suck, are a necessity. You wanna make a change? Then aim your anger at those that perpetually screw the system and leave folks like us to suffer. The systems are there, and most of them would work, if there weren’t people out there that manipulate them to their own advantage, regardless of how it hurts some one else. I work in retail and I see it all the time. “Ya’ll take EBT?” they ask. “Nope,” I say, and they pull out a big wad of 50s and 100s. I can’t get food stamps, I’ve tried, and something else I can’t get…a big wad of dough. So you can’t tell me this 18 year old punk is gonna be able to make grip like that AND be on EBT legitimately. He’s obviously got a ‘side job’ while not working but all the while, feeding himself off of OUR tax dollars. How is that the governments fault? Food stamps are good, as long as they are used properly, as are most government programs. This was simply an example. But hey, let’s boycott the government; let’s become a 3rd world nation on principle alone. Let’s stop the war and open the borders. Let’s get attacked daily just so we can say we were right. Just so we can say WE played a part in something. You want to be a part of something? Volunteer at a soup kitchen, give blood, become a mentor. Do something that actually helps other people. I’m not suggesting complete and total subservience, just a little common sense. I like the supermarket. I like fast food and car dealerships. I like the idea of coming home and finding my family setting around watching television as opposed to being raped and murdered. I know I’m a little goofy, but I believe if we were to shut down the government for a few months, these folks that want to buck authority might give up biting the hand that feeds them and understand what it is exactly that they are taking for granted.
As I was browsing through profiles earlier, I ran across a very pretty girl that was talking about how the government is our enemy and the war is unnecessary and that all we’re doing is killing our troops. I am getting so tired of listening to these self-proclaimed “Mr. Know-It-Alls” telling us how our country is worthless and is the worst country in the world, yet for whatever reason, they want to stay here. Canada is a few miles north, folks, and if you drive far enough south, you can take up residency in Mexico. You have options. I find it a little funny that the only people not bitching and moaning about the war are the ones brave enough to fight for the country that they love. I forget sometimes, but the military is still voluntary, right? I mean, did we re-instate the draft and no one knows about it? As far as all these people talking about the government not doing its job, I can only ask one question for you…Since September 11, 2001, how many times have innocent Americans been attacked and killed on American soil? Oh, zero? That’s right, sounds to me like their doing exactly what they’re supposed to be doing…protecting your right to bitch and moan about things you don’t understand. Do you recall the last time a lunatic walked into the deli where you were having lunch and exploded? Happens all the time across the sea, and its that kind of thing we’re attempting to prevent. “But they’re killing our soldiers!” I agree, but you know who they’re not killing? Our civilians. Our soldiers are told there may be risk upon signing up, our plane passengers shouldn’t have to be warned that their plane may be driven into the side of a building. People who are just working to support their wives, husbands, kids, moms and dads, etc. were never warned that a plane may land in their office on the 60th floor and that they would be instantly burned alive. This is why we continue to fight. Not only so we don’t have to worry about these kinds of attacks, but so our allies and friends in other countries might be able to live and have the opportunity to support their own families. Understand this, I am not a government supporter so much as I am a military supporter. And people with this sort of attitude toward the war are seriously tying our hands and keeping us from accomplishing our goals. If we can’t kill, or we can’t torture, then we can’t win. That’s fairly simple. If we, as civilians would have just shut our traps and let the military and government do what they need to do, this war would have been over a long time ago, terrorism would be at a minimal and families would be together today. I have a solution, but you’ll have to wait for the next blog for it.
