The town I moved to...

So I've decided that I'm going to start a public journal. Now I know that journals are supposed to be private. The reason why journals are private is because most of what you put in them is supposed to be personal to you and most of the time its secrets or other things that you want to keep others from seeing. Well, I'm really not afraid to share what I'm thinking and most of the time I flat out tell people what's on my mind. Yes, I have hurt people by telling them what’s on my mind but I will not be one of those men that die at an early age, unless I drive off a mountain, due to holding my feelings inside.

Now on the other hand I do not want you to take this as me being a political activist for either the "right" wing or "left" wing political parties either. Although there will be times I just rant about how much bullshit is involved in them. Keep in mind, yes, there will be cussing or cursing which ever you prefer in my journals. This is simply things that are on my mind. More or less like a sounding board to which I may or may not get advice from. If you choose to read these journals feel free to put in your two cents. I, of course, will not judge you in anyway. I have just come to the conclusion I cannot speak to people about how I feel about certain situations because, they, most of the time have not been in the situations I've been in or have not lived the life I have. Either way, this is something I've decided to do to keep me from going totally crazy. (Laughing hard on the inside while keeping a straight face)

I'll do my best to make sense most of the time without just blasting everything out there.

Okay so today I’m writing about the town of Logan, WV.... Yes, Logan is an actual town in the STATE of West Virginia. Now for all those that have Google Earth all you have to do is type it in. For those that try to find it on a map... Give up now. The town does have more than one stop light but that’s only because the two lights are within 100 ft of one another. I've always lived in pretty big cities. To me this place should be run over by a bull dozer and then rebuilt. The houses here were not meant to stand for more than a few decades. However the same house that was built 100 years ago is still around and yet it looks as if it should be condemned. I see "No Littering" signs everywhere. But in my own opinion why have them when your town looks like shit. Yeah I said it. (Speaking to the towns commissioner here) Why do you have buildings that are burned down still on the property? Why do you have empty lots collecting trash that could have new development there? You have neighborhoods that have homes that are run down by time with other homes that have fallen off the side of the hill. In my eyes I would have them (the owner of the property) clean up the property or, by order of the city, repo the land. Then if you will, clean the land up yourself with tax dollars and flip the property itself. There has got to be some kind of ordinance that allows you to do that. YOUR CITY LOOKS LIKE BOMB WENT OFF AND YOU'RE NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT. Is it that the people around here don’t care? Do you like living in filth? They let people dump their trash in the river that runs through this town. Okay, they may not let them, but they sure as hell aren't doing anything about it. They are the state of West Virginia: Wild and Wonderful. I’m sorry I don't see anything WONDERFUL about people dumping their trash in the local stream wonderful. Matter of fact I pretty sure that there is a FEDERAL law against it.

Okay so you have other things you have to tend to like cleaning up crystal meth labs and stopping the trafficking of prescription pills. I get that. (Clears throat) If you gave these people here something to do I'm sure they would be a little less likely to spend their time making meth. Okay maybe not. It’s probably all they know. They can't help the fact they have poor hygiene and can't read. Don't get me wrong I've met a few people, through my years in school and other job professions, which had a difficult time reading. So it's understandable, but I took a class not too long ago and out of 20 students, 6 of them have literacy issues. Serious literacy issues. I never realized why they had so many commercials in NBC about teaching your children how to read. Now I get it. All I can do is thank my parents for giving me the proper skills to flourish. They made sure I had the tools to make it through life.

Now I know what I've typed up will not be read my many people but if you do read this... Thanks for listening. The situation and place I'm living in this point in my life isn't quite where I expected to be. Don’t get me wrong.... The money is terrific. However, as I kick myself in the ass ... Money isn't everything.
