Sometimes you win sometimes you lose
That’s just the way love goes
If your eyes can't see its beauty
Then forever may they be closed
The last time you knew love
Was it all that it could be?
Is it really so easy to forget
Someone answer this for me
If memories are all you have
Of the commitments that you made
Feelings will start to erode away
Over time your memory does fade
At the start it was new and exciting

It embers have now turned cold
