Okay, so I'm really lame, since I promised a blog entry a few days ago and never delivered. The truth is, I just don't know what to write about. I've never done a blog before, although it seems like everyone I've talked to recently has one, so I suppose it time to get with it.
Anyway, not that much has been going on with me. I'm at school again, ony 12 weeks left to go out of fifteen. I have a geography class, Geography of the twin cities, which is really lame. There just isn't that much about the twin cities to make it redeeming enough to focus a whole semester on. The prof is trying, I believe, to slowly kill us by boring us to death in lecture. Fine, except I know that trick, and so I always bring the crossword puzzle from the newspaper to work on. So far I get about half of them done completely, which is sad, since lecture is only about an hour and 15 but the prof tires of herself around minute 55 and we rarely go beyond that.
My second class is an Econ class. I have never taken an econ class before, and apparently I was supposed to take two of them before I took this class, but I didn't, and I suppose it speaks to the mediocrity of the whole U that I so far haven't really missed anything. Granted, it is on Banking and Financial Markets, and I did work on that area for three years prior, but still, I thought it would be a lot harder than it really is.
My last class is the big one, where I get to write my senior paper. I am stymied by the simple fact, however, that I have no idea what to write it on. Keep tuned here as I eventually find out. For shits and giggles, when I filled out the profile form on the first day of class, and said I wanted to write on Early Modern development of Banking systems in Europe from 1500 to 1800. Ha! We'll see if that will even work!
Other than class, I really can't say there's a whole lot going on. I went back up north to visit my family this weekend, but did esentially nothing. It was rainy, and not everyone was feeling well, so it was mostly and stay-indoors-and-read sort of weekend. I was hampered by the fact the whole northern half of the state is like an internet-free zone, it's either dial-up, which defines whole new levles of painfully slow, or go to the one coffee shop that offers wi-fi, but guess what? When it rains all day everyone decides to go to that coffee shop. Crap.
