A veil of clouds enshrouds the city lights,
as a cold mist settles in my brain.
An orange glow surrounds my windows edge
While the figures, they dance in the rain.
To see and feel the colors move about me
Brings a tingling feeling to my soul.
The darkest light consuming all sensation
giving life a purpose and a goal.
A shimmer of light enhances all my thoughts
While the figures dance in my head
The clouds around me take such pleasant form
As I stare from a distance in my bed.
To hear the sounds as they completely surround me
keeps me warm although the night is cold.
