Today, I am thankful to be alive.
Thankful that I have five silly animals
That love me unconditionally...
Today I am thankful
That I am not paralyzed
Though I am paralyzed emotionally still in some ways
I am grateful it is no longer a physical issue...
Today I am thankful
That I have learned once again
To remain strong when people
Around me try to hurt me with hate
Jealousy and anger
I no longer let them
Paralyze me with fear
Or paralyze me with sadness
Instead
I mute them out with my ears
And just walk on by
Though in there eyes I am being selfish
But in my heart I am being strong
By keeping positive thoughts in mind
Today I am thankful
That the goddess has sent me here on this land
Not only to learn new things
And remember things from my past
But to teach others the ways of the old
And to have them remember the one important thing
That the only person we need to be true to is ourselves
Friends come and go
Family eventually passes on
Lovers don't always remain faithful
And don't always stay with us forever
As temptation and lust usually always
Take them away
If the trust itself hasn't been already broken
Today I am thankful
That my life has changed
I have met new people
Learned new things
Become more spiritual
And have achieved some
Impossible dreams
Today I will set new goals for myself
And once again
Try to achieve the impossible
So today I am thankful
To just be living
And to simply be me
