I wanted this Xmas to be affordable and I did not want to spend a lot, just cause it always seems so overblown and expensive.
I have some great kids, 2 boys in University and I had planned to give them some cash and of course, clothes.
One is moving to an apartment and doesn't have a TV, the other just moved in with 2 female roommates and needs a computer, for school and home. The specs were
-HD TV flat screen, on sale for 800
-Mac book and software for 1,900
So much for the affordable Xmas.
So, even though they are great kids, do I tell em "hell no" and wait, or do I suck it up and set a horrible precedence for the future, in the spirit of the season?? |
