I’m on a hunt today,
I don’t know what I’ll find
I look for better pay or a better way
To ease my mind.
There are things that I will do and
There are things that I will not do
To satisfy my erg to live and enjoy this life
Hard times have fallen and
There are things that have to be done
Nothing is ever won
In this game I call life
Full of pain and full of strife
But maybe, just might
This time is right
To take care of the things that need taken care of.
I work so hard and show so much love
I know that the Lord above has a plan for me
To help me get on my feet
But that plan can be so blinding to me
So tiring you see..?
Why should I work so hard
For nothing in return
Though it seems
My feet and my mind burn
From watching these streets
Trying so hard to strive to satisfy
My erg to live and enjoy this life.
