| Ok so my band has been struggling for awhile with the decision to kick one of our guitar players. The problem we are having with this guy is this: Every show we play he finds a way to fuck up and make us look bad wether it be tripping over a cord or being out of tune or just fucking up a song that he should know in his sleep. The other problem is that while we are all a very energetic band.. he just stands like a statue and that looks odd. It's not just us noticing it... other bands tell us and fans ask us if he's sick or something. We have talked to him about this on numerous occasions and he doesn't seem to care. On the positive side, if we kick him out we can get someone better in there and will sound a lot more professional and not have to deal with his bullshit day in and day out. On the negative side we have a full schedule of shows booked and most of the stuff we play needs 2 guitars so we will be set back for awhile until we can get a replacement. Also we already know there is a severe shortage of talented musicians in this area so we could be burning bridges. We can't decide what to do because we KNOW we can find someone better but we don't want to screw ourselves out of a bunch of shows and money. What do you all think? |
