Station was closed back in December of 2011, due to lack of interest by the staff and a lot of bs from several people here on FU.
I had invested every penny possible into the station, paying for the servers, licensing fees, music rights, website, domain name, high speed internet, a second computer as a server, a backup hard drive, music, etc., etc., etc. Not to mention all the countless hours spent online DJ'n and building the station and website.
Since I only have one income, it was a real strain on me financially, to provide this service, but I did it for people to enjoy it... Just as I am very passionate about music, I felt I could provide a quality online station that anyone could love. Apparently NOT, since most people wanted to argue and fight about who was where, when they were there and why. The kind of things you would expect to see 5 year olds do... NOT grown ups... Seems like they never grew up.
I had spent most of my time on FU just trying to keep peace between a few of my friends that were associated with a couple of seperate lounges.
During that time, I was able to see clearly as to who was friends and who was starting trouble in most all areas. My only fault in the whole ordeal, was being too nice to people. But, I guess that's the way it goes.
Those of you that did what you could, know who you are and I greatly appreaciate all your efforts each and every time you were able to do so.
Those of you that left me and the station hanging and/or intentionally set out to undermine the station, you know who you are as well. Most of the issues were due to an outside source undermining the station from the start.
Sometimes, you simply can't be nice to people and do the right thing for all parties involved... No matter what! Because, it will be seen by those few as an insult and they will never actually hear what you had to say... Your reasoning and voice will be totally and utterly disregarded! NO ONE will step up in that persons defense, out of fear of what another will do to them.
If you feel you must live in fear... Something is terribly wrong!
As the old saying goes... "What Goes Around, Comes Around" and it won't be anything that I would do, because I firmly believe that we all have to endure enough in this life as it is... So, why ask for more trouble or bad luck? We'll have more to deal with in time, anyway.
It was a pleasure to work with a few of you out there and I truly wish you the best of luck in the future.
