Random Star Wars fact #6

The movie was filmed under the title Blue Harvest: Horror Beyond Imagination to avoid publicity, but it’s less-known that the bogus title was a play on Dashiell Hammet’s 1929 novel Red Harvest, which was said to be an influence for Akira Kurosawa’s Yojimbo, which was cited as an influence for Star Wars

Random Star Wars fact #5

George Lucas was born May 14, 1944, which just so hapens to be one day before my birthday (and 33 years)!

In relation to this: Every Star Wars movie in the United States has been released in May, one week after George Lucas’s birthday.

Random Star Wars fact #4

The original title was "Adventures of Luke Starkiller as taken from the Journal of the Whills, Saga I: The Star Wars." Eventually it was shortened!

Random Star Wars fact #3

Yoda has a first name. It is Minch.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoda . . .

Grand Jedi Master Yoda is among the oldest and most powerful known Jedi Masters in the Star Wars universe. Series creator George Lucas originally wished Yoda to follow his other characters in having a full name—Minch Yoda—but instead opted to have many details of the character's life history remain unknown. Yoda's race and home world have not been named in any media, canonical or otherwise, and he is merely said to be of a "species unknown" by the Star Wars Databank. Yoda's speech syntax has been analyzed and discussed by academic syntacticians, who found it somewhat inconsistent, but could extrapolate that "Yodic" has object–subject–verb word order.[8]
