When I grew up I learned several sports, never understood football even though I was a cheerleader, and was interested in some sports but did not have the ability to do them.
I have ridden a horse when I was 15/16. Wish to do so again. Want to go bowling and play softball(fast pitch)again..because I have a love for the sports, but I am unable to.
I see the pro football, baseball, basketball, hockey, etc. and am disappointed that they play for the money and not for the love of the game. NASCAR is reaching that point too! See how much the top drivers get? Even the last placer would get more than I would make in a month if I were working!
I have basically stopped watching sports because they do not play for the love of the game. Baseball strike for more money, same thing with hockey, outrageous pay hikes. Who pays for all of this? The fans that show up and pay the shocking ticket prices!
I now prefer to watch the local games and college football..for the love of the game.
Do you think the players should try harder to live within their means---like us normal people do--and play for the love of the game? |
