http://www.myyearbook.com/spirit08~~I have more stuff on here

I'm a 42yr old DWF now living in LA...I moved here from Wichita, KS in '03..I seriously miss it there but there are reasons why I'm here. I have an infectious laugh and love being a little kooky once in awhile. I have a beautiful 16yr old daughter who lives with her Dad in PA...she visits here on holidays and during the summer. I have always been quite independent but also kind of a free spirit. I enjoy all kinds of music..heavy metal, southern rock, 80's hairbands, 60's and 70's hippiestyle, new rock/alternative, a little jazz, some R&B, love the blues! and of course country. Because I'm a AF brat, I have the love of travel in my blood. I'm not a materialistic gal, but I do enjoy spoiling myself or someone else with cool gifts. Which brings me to this...I love going to flea markets, garage sales, goodwill, and would even go to an auction...I love a good bargin! I can be a very deep conversationalist..debating anything that I'm passionate about. I love a good meal..meat & tators, love BBQ's, and mexican food. I have a great family and even though we have all seen tough times..we always seem to stick together and support one another. Some could say that I'm wild/crazy... I'm okay with that..now that I'm a little older though I've settled down alot. Matter of fact, I may be a little boring to some. I love..thunderstorms, smell of leather, burning candles, hot bubble baths, the feel of silk, Angela's laugh, Angela's hugs, those moments of clarity, honest and sincere ppl, staying up all night watching movies, sleeping in on Sunday morning, intimacy with the special someone, "adventures"/weekend getaways, camping in the fall, kittens and puppies, going down memory lane with family and friends, playing pool,
enjoying a cup of coffee and conversation, and soooo much more. I do like to watch football...been a diehard Cowboy fan for many years..but I also like the Broncos. So many things that I would love to do but have never done..go to Nascar, go to California, take a trip on a train, go to Mexico, would like to go skydiving, scuba-diving, go to a play, stay a weekend in a fancy hotel in NewYork city..being waited on hand and foot..ordering food and tipping EVERYONE!! , and sooo much more.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I am saved"
I'm whispering "I was lost!"
That is why I chose this way."

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need someone to be my guide.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
and pray for strength to carry on.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
and cannot ever pay the debt.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
my flaws are too visible
but God believes I'm worth it.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartaches
which is why I seek His name.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I do not wish to judge.
I have no authority.
I only know I'm loved.

And just because I'm a Christian does not mean I've forgotten how to have fun!! : )

Life Is a Gift

Today before you say an unkind word,
Think of someone who can't speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food,
Think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband/wife or lover,
Think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a
companion.

Today before you complain about life,
Think of someone who went to heaven too young.

Before you complain about your children,
Think of someone who desires children but are barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house,
Think of the people who are living in the streets

Before whining about the distance you drive,
Think of someone who walks the same distance.

And when you are tired and start to complain about
your job, Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who
wish they had your job.

And before you think of judging another,
Remember that not one of us is without sin and we all
will have to answer to our GOD.

So when depressing thoughts seem to get you down,
Put a smile on your face and thank GOD for all he has
given you.
