Our LONG day of flying to the other side of the world is finally over. We traveled six thousand miles around the world and spent a day and a half doing it!!I'm typing this after many many failed attempts at sleep. I've got MTV Asia playing on the box. Thankfully tomorrow is a day off, one of two we get this tour. I'll update you as much as I can with pix,video & whatever else I can put up here. So make sure you check back often.
I want to thank everyone for all the e-mails wishing us a safe trip! & I also want to thank everyone that came to our last show in the U.S. for a month. You give us a great send off & we couldn't have asked for a better crowd.
Here a wrap up off our day:
The alarm goes off at 5:00am But the coffee works its magic, the shower breathes some life into my tired frame, and I shuffle downstairs and into the car at 6.00am, and let my mind shut down until I get to the airport. It's a bizarre journey in front of us – We leave early Sunday morning, fly for fourteen or so hours, and arrive Monday night. My brain spends a long time trying to work out the mathematics of this, before failing miserably and giving up.
We board our flight, turn left when we get on the plane & try to make ourselves comfy in our section of the plane. and then most of us just……well, fell asleep. McGee & Todd our sound man sleep the whole way, and Justin,master & myself try to watch movies,drink a lot of wine, spill a lot of wine, play games between many naps & doing lines from "flight of the conchords". And then we land in japan only to get on a bus to drive an hour to get on another 3hr. flight. Welcome to Japan, gentlemen!!! We are sent on our way, through customs, and into the bus that takes us to our hotel. As we drove I've been looking everywhere for the ubiquitous Starbucks Coffee.
I think the jet lag has finally started to kick in so I'm going to crash out. Talk to you soon.
