Silence can be deafening; but could it also be a sign of lack of strength. Meaning, those who remain silent are nothing but cowards in life. There are many examples of this in life around us.
A person who is entitled to a raise or a promotion never fully pursue it. They often have fears they will be subjected to ridicule and thus never truly go after a well-deserved position in their own life.
Relationships fail miserably because of silence and there are several examples of this, so many that it would take an enormous amount of time to write them all! Short listed some are due to lack of silence about financial concerns, to have or not to have children, to continue or not to continue a relationship, leaving emptiness to the partner or even both partners. Ironically, the words I love you, perhaps the most powerful words in any language, are said frequently and are not always meant!
Silence cannot only hurt yourself, but it can hurt someone you care about. Walking away from any situation with out a word can be detrimental to the mentality of anyone involved.
However, even worse is one speaks, but nothing comes out but lies and deceit (whether malicious or of good intent).
Telling a close friend, yes, you look great in that, or yes, he’ll/she’ll call. Leaves again to a painful situation where truth, although it may lead to hurt feelings, can later cause humiliation. While the intentions may be well meant, the outcome can be detrimental to the person’s overall self-esteem.
Nothing but honesty and truth should suffice in everyone’s life! Vocally expressing truth can hurt, but it is the truth that one can find diversity to overcome obstacles! Expressing thoughts are a gift that we acquired. Should we not use this advantage then we are nothing to society but disappointment and lack of convictions.
Silence is a text easy to misread.
