i am a soldier in the Army Reserves, and just received word that i can volunteer for a deployment to Afghanistan for 12 months starting in Feb. It would be in the Helmand province, which is one of the last remaining Taliban strongholds, so it would be very dangerous and a long year. But it would be doing my duty as a soldier, and i would make some good money if i made it back home. ANy insight on if i should leave or stay, especially from soldiers or spouses from soldiers deployed in that area would help, thank you.
A) stay home
