Ok first off iam really bad at this blog thing but i cant get this off my mind !
i had to go to Joplin Mo. to pick up my son he stays there though the week while he works and comes home on the weekend , needed stop in Lowes pick up glass for windows befor weather tunes cooler .
Picked up the boy was on way to , not knowing how much the glass was going to coast me stoped at a stop light a man was setting there with sign disabled vet no money passing though .
as i looked i noticed vet or not he was disabled 1 hand was missing he looked as if not to have had a shower in months m my cup holder was full of change qurters nickles dimes pennies i was trying to hurry befor the light changed as he got closer i noticed his arms were buned up passed his shirt sleaves was handing him the change when i noticed 1/2 his other hand was missing as well and burned he could only take part of the chang at a time putting in his pocket all whie trying give him as much as i could at this point befor light changed well it did befor only giveing him all of the change horns stared blow and i looked up 1/2 his face had been burned off and he replied God bless you mame now at this point wishing i had done more. at the check out paying for those windows i could have wait for a week or so longer cant get hime off my mind on drive home they wanted pizza so i stoped all time thanking of this man blessing me wishing i had done more , still cant get him off my mind but i sure would like to thank a town the size of Joplin surly i wasnt the only 1 that stoped why hadnt i done more . |
