What are you waiting for?

This woman I work with really pisses me off. I'm trying to figure out how to best deal with her. I need to say something, but if I don't carefully plan what I want to say I'm likely to blow up on her… wouldn't want things to get messy. She is supposed to go to lunch at noon and I go at 1PM, she's been pushing it back for a while now. Yesterday (she's the receptionist, when she goes to lunch I cover for her), so yesterday she's sitting at her desk talking to her friend until 12:50. Then she comes back in my office and says she's ready for a "quick" lunch. She returns at 1 freakin 40. Also, she'll pop her head in my office and say, "I need to go to the bathroom," or something of the like, and then she just leaves. Does it matter what I'm doing? No. Once I was in the kitchen cleaning things up around noon and I came out to find her getting on the elevator. She didn't even say anything to me, she was just going to leave the phones unattended. There is quite a bit more that I haven't mentioned, but I didn't really want to go on about it. How should I handle it? Talk to my boss first? Then say something to her? (She and I are the only employees here) I want to tell her she pisses me off myself, I don't want the boss to get involved, but I'd like his opinion on how to handle this too. And I don't want him to have to tell her. My brain isn't forming cognitive thoughts, just sayin.

Teacher's Pet

For anyone who doesn't know, I'm taking two college classes this summer. Last night my English class got our second essay scores, and before going over them individually the professor says, "I've done something kind of embarrassing, I've lost the first sheet of somebody's essay." Well, guess what, it happened to be mine. We walked back to her office to print another copy and along the walk she was telling me that her daughter just got a new puppy. Long story short HER dog ate MY homework. What are the chances?

Redundant?

A recent blog inspired me to do a little research. I found this website, and I think this paragraph could be reduced to a one lined sentence had they not been so redundant. At any rate, reading it made me chuckle a little. The city turned off my water yesterday for maintenance on the main lines. Naturally, I came home to rust colored water. After using the facility a few times I discovered that my 'deposits' were actually making the water lighter. I think I need a life.

Plural Form

Dr. Dave and I were discussing the word 'smurf' and what the plural form of it would be. He came up with smurves. LOL good times.

Will work for... money

So I have this hole in my furnace chimney. Photobucket Although the raccoons find it rather convenient, I'm not sure I dig it all that much. I had the chimney specialist here yesterday and he estimated $900 to line and cap the chimney but won't do it until may. This means I have 3 months to come up with the dough. I'm trying to think up a clever scheme... charge the raccoons admittance? Sell myself on the corner? Start selling drugs? Maybe I could offer the chimney guy fubucks, I could pay him tripple that way. Any ideas?

Proud to be an American

A recent study found the average American walks about 900 miles per year. Another study found Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of beer a year. That means, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon.

Ronald McDonald

Lunch today, what is the point of asking me if I want salt and ketchup for my fries if they're not gonna give it to me. I'm supprised they didn't ask me if I wanted it for there or to go being that I used the drive through window.
