Shattered Dreams
My dreams have all been shattered
At night I’d rather not sleep
My heart is torn and tattered
Its chances of surviving are bleak
My dreams have turned to nightmares
With nowhere for me to hide
No ones here to comfort me
It’s just me myself and I
My dreams continue to haunt me
They return to me time after time
I must remove the illusion of love
Peace of mind is what I must find
My dreams were more like visions
Of feelings that once were shared
At night I found you in my dreams
But now you’re no longer there
My dreams no longer bring comfort
Much like the words you speak
Each night my love dies in my dreams
Each morning I awake and I’m weak
My dreams have revealed many things to me
I see now that love never mattered
If it once did then the dreams I have
Would not be of dreams that are shattered
