Now that I know how you mummers work...I'm going to ask a very serious question and hope there's actually some of you out there that have some constructive input...
My 4 year old daughter is autistic and ADHD and in pre-k...she only was able to attend for 2 weeks before the teachers and principal said they just didn't know how to deal with her since they were not educated in dealing with autistic students. They set up a homebased program where the teacher is supposed to show up once a week for an hour to at least keep her up with the rest of the class...the teacher has missed a total of five weeks. I have brought this up to the school board and the region that overlooks the program and they tell me to just wait it out. They won't put her in special education because she tested at too high a level but she needs special attention due to her disability. I'm curious about just taking her out of the school program and just homeschooling her myself since i don't seem to be getting anywhere with the school...any SERIOUS thoughts on the matter? |
