| So over the last two weeks, i have had interviews with a company i held a job with over 9 years in two departments. The job oppertunity is great and really hard even to secure an interview with since it is all handled online and there are thousands if not millions of applicants. So with that being said, i interviewed twice, thinking that they both had gone great, however, the old criminal background is a tad tainted. You see, three years ago, on a road trip, i had been pulled over for simply speeding, however when the cop stuck his head in the window, he asked me 2 step out of the car, he forgot about the possible speeding violation, and that's right my friends, became more concerned with the smell of mary-jane that he had detected during the stop. He asked, and i came clean that i infact was riding dirty, with around 1 oz or less. So long story short, i lawyered up, recieved defered dispositions on said charge reduced to paraphanalia and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors only, none the less, a positive history in the criminal background search. So the question for you guys and gals is this, being honest with the charges explaining them totally, should i receive a second chance with this job oppertunity, or simply give up, and go on to the next best thing maybe not as strict? |
