The SOS is committed to Save Ohio Strippers. Peabody’s Entertainment, Thunderlips Media Group, along with the CCS (Citizens for Community Standards) will be putting together events and literature in order to try and put the CDA to a public vote. Help us keep the Adult Entertainment Industry profitable in Ohio.
The law will change the way adult stores as well as cabaret clubs operate. It states that: no sexually oriented business shall be or remain open for business between 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m. on any day, except that any sexually oriented business that holds a liquor permit, pursuant to Chapter 4303 of the Ohio Revised Code, may remain open until the hour specified in that permit if it does not conduct, offer, or allow sexually oriented entertainment/activity in which the performers appear topless/nude. We believe this would severely affect the business of most adult establishments.
Peabody’s Entertainment along with our affiliates will organize various events around the state to procure the needed signatures and ensure a public vote on the CDA. We plan to route a regional tour of concerts with Official Cabaret Club After-parties featuring local, regional, and national acts/celebrities for both parts of these events. SOS, in conjunction with the CCS, plan to collect signatures & register voters at said events. The current cities under development are; Cleveland, Columbus, Toledo, Akron, and Cincinnati, and more TBA. The CCS has already organized a successful protest in Columbus and has collected 1,000 signatures towards the first phase of earning a public vote.
