My life has been a some what complicated life but I always tried to make the best of it. At the age of 24 I was shot in the head with a 9mm hydra-shok bullet paralyzing me on the complete right side of my body. I was left unable to walk, talk, read, write, or spell. The doctors said I would never do any of those things again and I would be a veggie if I survived. Within 48 hours I was off of my ventilator and breathing on my own. Today, I walk, talk, read, write and I spell! I live alone and I have my own place bought and paid for. I even drive. I take care of myself. I have such a strong will and I hear all of the time, "You're just a miracle!" Maybe I am but I don't see it. No one was going to get me healthy but me alone so I worked my butt off in rehab. I'm paralyzed on my right arm and parts of my right side but I don't let that keep me down. I even learned how to try my shoes in a bow with 1 hand.
